Hats off to Frank Sinatra

He's the Granddad of style and class, and just the mention of his name creates visions of a laid-back sophistication, where suits and hats go hand in hand with loosened ties and a self-confident nonchalance. We tip our hats to you, Frank.

Style Icons #1: Ryan Gosling

He tops best dressed lists for a reason. Whether he's kicking about town or suited and booted, his outfits somehow look meticulously planned but effortless, exuding a confidence and charm that epitomises the modern man. These are a few of our favourites:

Calvin Klein Menswear Fall 2013

Sculptured, tailored, yet with an urban grit, the Calvin Klein Menswear Fall 2013 was one of my favourite shows. There was no flamboyance, no pretentiousness, just good, solid clothing that any man can wear. At a glance, the palette seems black and grey. But look closer and you’ll see deep oxblood, intense navy blues and (almost) shimmering greys. The style remains classic and timeless, yet with certain techniques and cuts, Zucchelli – the creative director behind the name – has managed to push the clothing past boring or old, and into the mould of the modern and young.

Below are a few of our favourites, let us know what you thought of the collection.
